White Velvet Wedding Dress “The Accolade”
Noble velvet dress with golden decorations. We tried to exactly replicate the cut and style of Guinevere's dress. It is a harmonious combination of the classical silhouette of the Late Middle Ages – narrow bodice, lowered waistline, and long, full skirt draped in the relief folds – with elements of the Renaissance costume – lush, voluminous sleeves and rich embroidery on the dress hemline.
The dress is made of white Italian natural velvet. The narrow bodice is tightened to size by two pieces of golden lace, which simultaneously decorate the side seams.
Deep triangular cut and the shoulders of the sleeves are decorated with golden brocade, further enhanced with golden metalized net, golden lace embroidery, and Swarovski crystals. Long flared sleeves are trimmed with gold braid on the edge and lined inside with silk. They are additionally attached to the base fabric with gold metal beads.
The flared cut skirt is draped into the deep folds. The skirt consists of six wedges and has a hemline length of about 30 feet. Each wedge is decorated with two elements of the golden embroidery, for a total of twelve embroidered elements per skirt.
The ornament for decorating the sleeves' upper parts and the hemline was developed by our designers based on traditional Celtic motifs. The ornament for the triangular decollete cut (also specifically designed by us for this dress) has a slightly different rhythm and structure dictated by the shape of the decollete cut (its triangular form demanded a lighter, more graceful variation of the ornament). This is truly a dress for the Medieval Queen: heavy and luxurious, yet elegant and romantic. Every knight would be inspired to serve this Queen!
