This classic chemise is made of thin linen draping beautifully to fall off with plenty of minor folds. The chemise is deeply gathered at neck, has small slit at the back seam and flowing ample silhouette. In Central Europe such shirt was obligatory for low dresses of the 16th century to modestly hide tempting curves of the wearer. Chemise also had prolonged volume sleeves fixed at the wrist with the help of casing.

Material - softened thin linen
Features:
- gathered around the neck;
- gathered loose fit sleeves;
- volant cuff with casing.

Historically, the chemise was developed from the Roman tunica. This part of costume became very popular in Europe in the Middle Ages. Women wore a chemise under their gowns to protect expensive fabric from sweat.
