Traditionally, a bustle is a pad or framework worn under a skirt or gown to extend the back. Our bustle has a slightly modern take in that it is worn over a skirt or gown because it is made entirely from fabric, not from framework. This bustle is made from lightweight poly/cotton fabric and comes in colors that match quite a few of our corsets, bodices, cinchers, and skirts. The bustle will simply tie onto your waistline. You'll want to put your skirt on first, then the bustle, and then the bodice or corset so it covers the tie string from the bustle. This bustle is appropriate for high Renaissance, Victorian, and steampunk outfits. Made in the USA.
