The body is made of rich, red cotton velvet with an attached black over-skirt accented in gold trim. The sleeve cuffs and front placard are of a gold-and-black striped metallic brocade, with matching gold trim and gold lace. The dress has a full cotton underskirt, which gives this piece some true fullness and body when wearing it. The lace-up back with modesty panel, along with an attached black fabric tying belt, allows for a perfect period fit. 80% Poly and 20% Cotton with a 100% cotton under-skirt.
